Ease of use and query syntax.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The syntax for queries is easy to learn and use. Also the processes for backing up and restoring or creating/dropping DBs is straightforward.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Nothing I can complain about.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Totally recommend it. Very useful.

What differentiates Microsoft SQL Server from other similar products?

The performance and stability in my experience is higher than MySQL for a great price. Even you can get a free licence if your database is small.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Support and quality by Microsoft. The easy of use of the adminitration tools.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Maybe that it isn´t free for big business databases.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Go ahead and get SQL Server specially if you are working with .NET framework and Windows Servers.

What differentiates Microsoft SQL Server from other similar products?

I have worked with Microsoft SQL Server on many projects. The most recent was as the backend of an ERP system. The nature of an ERP system involved the entire organization from the shop which would use it to get the BOM (Bill Of Material) to build the parts to QA to check the parts to Purchasing to buy the raw materials to Sales to sell the parts to Shipping to ship the parts and even HR.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Safe to store and query information Query optimization Scheduled jobs and tasks Easy to code. Maintenance procedures

What do you dislike most about this product?

Debugging stored procedures can be done better SSMS could be integrated more efficiently Tasks that require many steps could be either streamlined or at the very least remember the data entered for each step

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

For almost all [development-related] jobs this is the [well-suited] database server. You should convert your excel sheets into the SQL database so that with the exponential growth of your data, [the] system will not go slow. The only thing you need to convert all your data into a systematic [database] is SQL expert who can right queries for your application.
