Support both structured and unstructured data. High data availability through replication and back up. Great in data security.

Supports big data analytics. Collaboration is highly enabled. data import and export using scripts.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The cost is a bit high. Microsoft support is not good. Lack of available training.

You need Microsoft SQL server for complex data processing and storage.

What differentiates Microsoft SQL Server from other similar products?

Simple to install, configure and to use. Includes plenty of options (compression, encryption) at not extra cost (although sometimes not as powerful or complete as Oracle, but definitively less expensive).

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Ease of installation and configuration. Wide number of features, most of them with no extra cost. Reliable and secure.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Sometimes it does not have so many options compared with other databases (like different partitioning levels)

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Take full advantage of all included options with no extra cost. Features like compression can make a big impact both in performance and cost of storage.
