What differentiates Metallic Backup from other similar products?

I have not used other recovery products but commvaults does a good job of backing up anything you want to backup

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Virtual machine backup and restoration

What do you dislike most about this product?

Doing the Configuration and setup on your own can be a hassle but with the help of the OEM support, it was easy

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Trying to setup and configure on your own can be hard, it's best to involve the OEM support, once configuratio is done, you will definetely enjoy the product

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Backup Monitoring and Reporting Backup and replication are continually monitored for status and effectiveness. Detailed reporting is available on successful and unsuccessful operations.

Replication for Long Term Storage and Disaster Recovery Onsite backup data is replicated and stored to a public cloud (AWS, Azure). Can also include restore-to-cloud capabilities for Disaster Recovery as a Service.

Physical Backup for Multiple Platforms Backs up data and system info for non-virtualized systems. Primarily Windows and Linux servers but also, potentially, AIX, Unix and others.

Backup of Cloud Based Data In addition to targeting backups to the cloud, the solution also has the capability to back up primary data and services already in the cloud.

Virtual Machine Backup Automatically discovers and protects VMs as they come online, move, and change. Production VMs are replicated to a secondary data store.

File Explorer Granular Restore Individual files can be located and restored from backup media without the need for full system mounting and restore.

Replication for High Availability Beyond secondary copy backup, the solution also manages replication of primary data host-to-host and site-to-site for live failover and high availability.
