How to read the Emotional Footprint
The Net Emotional Footprint measures high-level user sentiment towards particular product offerings. It aggregates emotional response ratings for various dimensions of the vendor-client relationship and product effectiveness, creating a powerful indicator of overall user feeling toward the vendor and product.
While purchasing decisions shouldn't be based on emotion, it's valuable to know what kind of emotional response the vendor you're considering elicits from their users.

The compliance checker adds useful structure
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Matrix Req from other similar products?
Matrix Req stands out from similar products by combining requirements management, risk analysis, testing, documentation, and compliance traceability in one platform tailored to regulated product development, particularly in the medical device industry. Its Jira integration connects engineering workflows with compliance activities, while controlled approvals, audit trails, automated impact analysis, and AI-assisted features help teams reduce manual work and maintain consistent documentation without sacrificing human oversight.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The compliance checker is a useful way to compare project content against the standards and checklists that matter to us. It helps surface areas that may need attention rather than relying entirely on manual review at the end of the project.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The value depends on setting up the relevant standards and reviewing the suggestions carefully, so it is not a substitute for regulatory expertise.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend Matrix Req to medical device companies looking to improve requirements traceability, risk management, and regulatory compliance throughout product development. Before adopting it, identify your key workflows, evaluate the Jira integration and reporting capabilities, and configure templates and project structures to match your needs. Take time to train the team and review AI-generated suggestions carefully rather than accepting them automatically. It is worth considering if you want to reduce manual documentation and maintain a more organized, audit-ready development process.

Traceable, Customizable, and Intuitive
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Matrix Req from other similar products?
Matrix Req offers high flexibility without rigid constraints on traceability, allowing our team to customize setup and workflows entirely on our own with minimal reliance on vendor support. Additionally, its straightforward, uncomplicated user interface makes onboarding and daily use far simpler than more complex alternatives.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect is how easy it is to customize to our exact workflow without needing constant support from the Matrix team.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Limited MS Word integration, single risk matrix limitation, restrictive document formatting, and lack of floating licenses. The lack of live, bidirectional MS Word integration requires reliance on import/export workflows, while licensing is restricted to named users without a floating option. Additionally, the system limits setup to a single risk matrix per project, and exported/generated documents lack formatting flexibility, making the final output visual appeal somewhat basic and rigid.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Ideal for teams needing a combined ALM and eQMS solution with high customization. If your primary goal is having high flexibility and combined ALM and eQMS capabilities in a single system, Matrix Req is a solid choice. However, keep in mind that it does not support floating licenses, so you will need to account for dedicated named user licenses for your team.

Wonderful for GDP & intercorrelated device project
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Matrix Req from other similar products?
The traceability is automatic: every version or change is linked to a comment entered by the user and associated with their account, and besides that every change and comment can be viewed and accessed by date or by documented item (SRS, REQ, TC, etc). Matrix also allows for customization of the items you place into your QMS structure--you can add/title fields, allow attachments, and enter hyperlinks and images into the fields.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The most advantageous aspect is the easy traceability. Once logged in, you can enter a comment for your session and this will become associated with all the changes you make to documentation during your session.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Lately the software has not been loading in Google Chrome.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend Matrix for projects which need to be intercorrelated--for example you might have a second version of a medical device and wish to reuse or to reference old test cases from the original version of that device.
