Gitlab is backed by github and hence there is a great backend team which can make version control easier

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The user interface of this product stands out by a great extent. other than that there are many version control features for enterprise which are extraordinary

What do you dislike most about this product?

This product is a bit costly. The profile section should have tabs for other features.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are willing to go for a software where you can invest good amount from budget but want the best in class version control then you can definitely go for this!

What differentiates GitLab from other similar products?

GitLab fixed a slew of issues, including ticket generation, sprint board management, and code commits. The extent to which various kinds of security testing are offered out of the box in a way that is consistent with the rest of the platform. I also like the capability to simply define security testing pipelines and monitor them.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

GitLab is also employed for continuous integration and deployment in a manufacturing process. We have used the bulk of its capabilities, especially the repo and ticket management. It includes a very user-friendly UI as well as a CI/CD infrastructure that satisfies practically all of our expectations. Our team members' codes can be pulled into our system in a matter of seconds.

What do you dislike most about this product?

GitLab can seem a bit difficult at first. It's especially tough for non-experts from non-software industries to understand GitLab's operations. The platform does not provide a simple and unambiguous means of controlling the repository, so most git activities are better done manually in the console. Upgrades and administration are also challenging.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Software that delivers such a broad range of operational excellence should be included in every company's applications. GitLab enables users to easily store their own code projects and files in a safe and comfortable place, facilitating user collaboration. GitLab easily imports repositories from other Git tools, and it also imports any version history and associated branches.
