What differentiates Deltek Vantagepoint from other similar products?

Vantagepoint is ERP dedicated almost exclusively to project menagment processes with little use as general ERP solution.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It is perfect to use in organizations that have a lot of project based activities because the solution end its modules (HR, CR) are focused on various project stages, it is easy to use and it is very straightforward

What do you dislike most about this product?

Client support and initial implementation could benefit from better vendor involvement

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If the company deals mostly with projects and it is medium sized, Vantagepoint will cover all its needs.

What differentiates Deltek Vantagepoint from other similar products?

Its unique focus on project management and cloud application is extremely well developed and the application for such purposes makes it a worthy and worthwhile solution

A to Z of project management and collaboration, with all the nuanced features one would expect from similar solution...

What do you dislike most about this product?

...but without much else to go for it. It has neither the scope nor variety of modules to cover every aspect of en enterprise.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Focus of Vantagepoint is excellent, it should serve without fail in a project based business environment, however one should expect to have to strengthen it either with third party solutions or additional modules

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

As part of my audit field, We have a audit client having this Deltek vantagepoint and this provided me opportunity to use this application. Based on my limited use of application i have noted following: 1. I think the most inspiring aspect of the product is its features which are easy to use, and the ability to tailor the system with no additional cost to customize the system. Thus for no additional cost it can be customised to suit the business needs. 2. The another feature of referencing documents is quite good with sufficient storage. 3. The process of looking for application or document is easy in it and does not require hassle.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There are couple of areas that needs improvements: 1. The upgrade to new version is not an easy job, finding vendor and getting it done seems to take bit longer 2. The option to adjust the font size is not there so to work on this there is a need for large monitor screen. 3. The option to use other applications side-by-side is difficult 4. Need trained resource to use the product and for complicated IT related queries need support from the company.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

One making purchase decision should assess their business needs and level of complexities in system. Also ensure that they have trained resources to use the features
