Cisco and Email Protection
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Cisco Secure Email Threat Defense from other similar products?
One thing that differentiates Cisco is that, whenever a spam email is blocked, they always provide a reason for such a block. This is a good thing so we, users, are not left in the dark. This also saves a whole lot of time.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The fact that Cisco Secure email is strongly integrated with Cisco Talos threat intelligence is a big plus. It gives us peace of mind knowing that there's a constantly updated threat database working behind my knowledge. This knowledge gives a bit peace of mind.
What do you dislike most about this product?
If you don't have much technical knowledge, it will be difficult to navigate their platform. The learning curve is too steep. It should be made more intuitive for people to set up. Things like creating new policies, navigating logs, or troubleshooting delivery issues—can feel more complicated than they need to be.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
This isn’t a plug-and-play tool. Invest time in the initial configuration—get your policies, rules, and integrations set up properly from the start. It pays off in the long run with smoother performance and fewer headaches. Good luck
