What do you dislike most about this product?

Wish I could customize fields in logs and have more input over sent / received file management.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

We use as our AS2 server - anyone considering bringing that in-house should look no further. This product is best suited for in-house data integration and the support is terrific. I suggest purchasing the extra support package - they have never failed to solve any problems.

What differentiates CData Arc from other similar products?

The workflow system is very intuitive, however once complex workflows are established it becomes hard to manage them. Comparing to other solutions it is very easy to get started on workflows with the advantage of being able to use the breadth of CDATA's connector system.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Ease of creating simple workflows.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is no facility to mass-update components unless you code to their API. The user interface looks slick but once you grow into it, becomes very hard to operate. Everything is file (and XML) based which is a chore in today's IT landscape. If you are not planning your workflows carefully it can become hard to change later without interruption.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Don't consider based on some simple POC type scenarios. How would this product work for you if you'd have to manage 100's of SFTP accounts. How would it work for you if there is this one customer that has to have a custom process in the middle of a workflow. ArcESB can do almost anything - that's why we opted for it but it can also cause you headaches if something needs to change due to internal requirements and you end up point and clicking in 100's of connectors.
