The Net Emotional Footprint measures high-level user sentiment towards particular product offerings. What differentiates Canvas from other similar products?
Canvas LMS simplifies teaching and learning activities and organises coursework. Canvas Catalog streamlines and modernises course registration and enrollment. Canvas Credentials empowers educators to own their professional development through digital badging.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Eco-friendliness: Keeping your documents and assignments within Canvas saves paper and ink, saving money and resources for you, your students, and your department. Canvas makes assignment submissions as easy as attaching a document to an email—no more printing! Continuity: Courses can be reused easily.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The Canvas LMS platform is compatible with all kinds of devices. However, like any other LMS platform, Canvas has its fair share of cons. Some of the well-known problems that have hindered the learning-teaching experience on this platform are: Automatic eraser of assignment when the due date is not set at midnight. Technical problems faced by users in audio recording. Messages of students are not recorded until the teachers provide replies. Unable to deal with more assignments together. Improvement required for the grading tool.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The Canvas environment meets the University’s accessibility standards, but content you add to Canvas course sites may not. Using the metaphor of a house, the general architecture of Canvas ensures that all users can enter the front door and gain access to the interior rooms (native tool areas within Canvas), but objects you place in those rooms (like digital files or external tools integrated into Canvas) may be difficult to access, or may even create barriers to their use.

Fantastic product to use

What differentiates Canvas from other similar products?
Canvas and Blackboard are both complex, but Canvas edges Blackboard out in user experience. The functionality in Blackboard is a bit harder to unearth and deploy, and the navigation is not quite as appealing or intuitive
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
One of my favorite features is how Canvas enables students to work at their own pace. We use the prerequisites on every task to walk students in a direction and then it's up to them on how fast or slow they go. Student-centric learning! That is the power of a learning management system!
What do you dislike most about this product?

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Canvas board: the painting side is covered with cotton canvas, the ideal support for doing a study. Wood panels (beech, walnut, poplar or oak), are appreciated for their smooth surface. Consider recycling: an old oak cupboard would work well, once the wood panel is sanded and primed!
