Nice little animations when you complete a task. Super easy collaboration between teams.

Easy ability to track multiple projects at once

The list view (I use the board view)

It's useful to establish a team Asana workflow so everyone's on the same page about how to use the software

Can get extremely detailed, and lose the forest for the trees.

Try on a small project, and think about scaling. Be sure to consider setting up so repetitive projects can be replicated.
