What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?
Unlike competitors who mostly rely on standard chips, Amazon EC2 builds its own ARM-based processors. I’m seeing much better performance compared to traditional chips. It allows me to create a completely isolated box inside my server where even I can’t see the data while it’s being processed. This confidential Computing is built into the hardware, making it feel incredibly secure without slowing me down.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My absolute favorite technical detail is the Nitro System. Because Amazon EC2 offloads the background to dedicated chips, my servers feel faster and more consistent than any other virtual machine I’ve used. When I pair EC2 with modern observability tools, the Smartscape view becomes my favorite way to work. Seeing my EC2 instances automatically map themselves into my business is incredibly satisfying.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There is nothing I come across as a dislike so far. Rather, an extensive platform with hidden strengths helps me to build a professional system.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Amazon EC2 is so vast that it’s easy to get lost in the multiple choices. To help you succeed, I highly recommend architecting your app to be statically stable. This is how you achieve reliability.

What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?
I trust this platform with our most critical workloads. We’ve hosted dev, test, and prod environments on it with zero problems effectively. The auto-scaling feature has helped us manage unsteady traffic with ease. It is truly the foundation of our cloud infrastructure.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I use this for everything from microservices to inherited apps. I like its simplicity in resizing instances whenever needed. The Reserved Instances feature is great for long-term planning. We’ve never faced a major issue using it.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It took us some time to get used to this remarkable platform, but once we did, we have never looked back.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It is really a good place to learn when you are starting out with cloud infrastructure, with its real visibility and flexibility. And if you are a pro, then know for sure that opting for this platform would be your greatest choice.

What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?
The pricing templates. Offers spot instances for workloads that may be short lived. Offers different pricing options that help suits every workload scenario. Gives I think the ease of access is very simplified
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The various ways of accessing an instance. I used SSM for my production workloads which allows my ansible to still carry out configurations on the instance
What do you dislike most about this product?
For heavy intensive workload, the pricing is a bit higher
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
That whatever software product they plan on hosting, EC2 gives them the flexibility and it's one of the best ways to host an application.
