What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?

The interface please, unlike GCP or Azure, i can't understand the flow of using AWS products

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I tried Amazon EC2 because the brand. Amazon is actually a great brand.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The free trial systems, i charged $140 for nothing when i was learning to implement aws computing engine

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I think the summary is no. if you could use another cloud products, use it. This AWS product is not recommended

What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?

- EC2 provides a lot of pricing options. The options can be on-demand, reserved, and spot instances which allows the user to choose as per their requirement , need and budget. - EC2 offers different type of instance for compute , memory storage , GPU intensive task. Depending upon our requirement we can choose the one - EC2 provides top notch security with the help of virtual private clouds and network access list so our infrastructure becomes robust - Spinning up EC2 is very easy. It can be done from command line , API or from EC2 console.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

- Present in almost all the regions so spinning up 2-3 EC2 at different regions can make the app truly global with almost low latency - Setting up the load balancer so depending upon the load it can easily scale the instance in or out saving a significant amount of money - Health checkup of instances and notifying if any instance is down.

What do you dislike most about this product?

- New user might be thrown with a wide variety of instance option and might choose a wrong instance. - They are hosted in AWS data centers in different geographical location so there might be network latency if not properly configured. - No access to underlying hardware.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

- Understand the requirement and choose an EC2 instance accordingly. - Use auto scaling and monitoring tools like cloud watch to track the metrics and to know if instances are over or under utilized

What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?

It provides unix, linux and every possible type of OS available , which makes very easy for the developer to use instance whatever suits for their application.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It is very easy to connect through aws console. It is easy to create ec2 instances and start working on them.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The trial period could be extended and storage should be increased while on trial period.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If someone wants to run their application on cloud based solution then ec2 from amazon is the best one available in market.
