What differentiates Amazon Redshift from other similar products?

The easy way to deploy and resize a cluster. The auto recommendations to improve performance even Redshift does changes at table level to improve performance i.e distribution type and encode.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Recently we starting to use ML features and it is great because you can create different types of models based just in a query and then predict in your queries. You do not need spend lot of time in development hours.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It would be nice to have the ability to resize the cluster by selecting specific characteristics such as disk size, memory, etc. and not just selecting a node type

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Amazing cloud data warehouse with bunch of features like ML and json functions. The best to use Redshift it is the possibility to integrate with the AWS ecosystem like S3 to query files directly.

Its seamless integration with AWS and it being slightly cheaper is what differentiates it from other products.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The data integration with AWS is very easy to manage.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It is not as beginner friendly and there is a learning curve at the start, which can lead to complexity inefficiencies.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Focus on optimizing query performance at the start and create documentation for new users to refer to. You are all on your own with Redshift so efficiency is key.
