What differentiates ABACUS from other similar products?

Multiple enterprise architecture meta model support. Fast architecture repository management with Desktop, Web and API clients. Excellent reporting and dashboards for C-Levels and all stakeholders.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Easy to implement TOGAF practice by providing Catalogs, Matrices, Diagrams from Desktop and Web UI. Both EA Team and stakeholders can update repository according to their roles. Out of the box cmdb and project management Integrations.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Customization limits based on configuration licences.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Comparing with other tools like Sparx and Alfabet, Abacus is an end to end enterprise architecture tool with low code support and you can manage, govern and relate both enterprise architecture models, business models, data architecture models and infrastructure topologies in the same repository with excellent catalog, matrices and diagram support.

What differentiates ABACUS from other similar products?

This is a unique product in itself for enterprise architecture, the plus side is around creating the architecture and managing different relationships.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Creation of architecture and defining metamodel is quite easy

What do you dislike most about this product?

Their are certain downsides which are pulling the offering down. First being that this product is available through cloud and gateway is real slow and have frequent disconnections. The data import/export also is real slow. The canvas for creating technology diagram is very primitive and I had hard time working with this tool. There is no Checker maker for validating data updates so chances of data corruption are very high.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

You must be clear on requirement and try to map it with the functionality of Abacus. You must not go by the high words used by product teams. Secondly consider this if you have small set of concurrent users otherwise their are chances of data being over written as their is no checker maker here.
