What is VeloCloud SASE?

VeloCloud SASE (formerly VMware SASE) uses a cloud-first approach with integrated AI and ML to deliver better user experience, tighter security, and operational simplicity. Using the centralized VeloCloud SD-WAN Orchestrator the solution reduces the operational burden of managing branch and remote access connectivity. Customers have the flexibility to deploy security in the cloud or at the edge (branch) to protect all traffic patterns on all ports and protocols. The components of SASE include: VeloCloud SD-WAN, VeloCloud SD Access, and Symantec SSE.

provides great integration. Perfect to protect your infrastructure if using VMware.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Wide range of features and scalability. Easy to understand and great technical support team.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The cost is high for the initial setup.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Having VMware infrastructure would be the greatest asset when using SUSE.

What differentiates VeloCloud SASE from other similar products?

they way it handle the real time traffic that makes it unique player in SD-WAN segment and centralized management of network and security is a cherry on a cake.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I love the intelligent traffic steering which select best path for application in real time for latency sensitive apps, its like a traffic cop handling the traffic in very efficient way.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Initial setup and policy configuration feel bit complex but after a while its become normal like any other security and networking software solutions.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Before considering the VeloCloud SASE, I would recommend the stockholders to get a clear understanding of your network and security requirements so you can design policies effectively from the start to take full advantage of its automation and traffic optimization features.
