What differentiates OpenText Aviator from other similar products?

It covers the whole archiving process including scanning, separation, rendition, OCR, storage, and customer-views through an SAP

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

OpenText handles high volumes of data very well and is stable when handling large volumes. OpenText provides a solid security model that is intuitive to users and easy for them to grasp. OpenText integrates well to he transitional file/folder based models that many end users prefer.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Integration with other products such as Microsoft Outlook is not easy Few document types accepted

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

The good thing about OpenText is that it offers different versions which therefore means there is a version for different needs and any business can find a version that suits their needs. Whether you need OpenText for non technical use for instance for general document management and storage, OpenText Content Suite works well. But for handling accounting issues, you need ECM OpenText version. Therefore most businesses can benefit from OpenText. You just have to know what works for your business.

For custom reporting, OpenText Analytics is much better than its competitors.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Custom reporting is my favorite aspect. Also, it connects to higher number of other sources easily.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Filters section in report, its UI is outdated. It can improve big time on the documentation. Also, it is costly.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you have the budget and have the need for advanced custom reporting, this is a very good tool.

What differentiates OpenText Aviator from other similar products?

The OpenText Analytics tool is used to fulfill our departmental-wise reporting needs and it is a very great tool for all the analytics requirements. It provides great reporting capabilities to our custom solutions in a very efficient way.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The best part is the ability to integrate with multiple data sources such as web services, connectors, APIs, etc. Some of the best features of OpenText Analytics are: 1) Excellent data import functionality. 2) Ability to customize the end-user reports. 3) Allowing scripts in the reporting for customize data reports. 4) Great user security at all levels.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The implementation of the solution is very complex and takes so much time. While working, lots of software bugs were identified during the validation of the reports. The control of data to the users is also very challenging and complex.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

You can evaluate the OpenText Analytics solution if it matches your needs. The pricing would be a factor, may please check before considering. You can also consider OpenText Analytics if you have more complex reporting and you need to see the final outcome in few steps. Overall a good analytics solution.
