What differentiates CARTO from other similar products?

CARTO is the only geospatial platform in the market that offers a cloud-native approach and a seamless integration with your data warehouse. You can go from an idea to an ideal map in a very short amount of time because of that. The power of analysis that you can get out of the CARTO platform is unique, as every kind of user (no matter what level of background in GIS) can actually use it to perform geospatial analysis, thanks to a very intuitive user interface.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

CARTO also offers a lot of spatial extensions for different integrations (BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake...) those extensions makes life much easier when ingesting data into CARTO maps, it just simply works. For Data Analysts out there, there's CARTOframes, a Python package that helps you visualize and explore maps so conveniently by using dataframes.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Nothing really.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Start by exploring the 14-days trial at CARTO with your own dataset. You will be making maps all day long, it's like addictive. If you need some ideas, visit carto.com and review the "solutions" sections they have available in their website. It's mind-blowing what use cases they are practicing. You can also book a demo if you feel curious about a solution they offer.
