Great distributed NOSQL system

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Apache Cassandra from other similar products?

Its performance is superior to other systems we have tested, thanks to its excellent distribution capacity. For unstructured data, it's a great system. And if there is a lot of data, much better, since Cassandra can act as a BigData system.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Its performance and ease of use would be the most notable aspects for me.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Its cost is somewhat high, they should review it.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

We recommend trying it in its free versions to test all its features and performance.

Highly scalable and fault tolerance DB

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Apache Cassandra from other similar products?

Cassandra's architecture is decentralized, peer-to-peer, and masterless. Each node in the Cassandra cluster is equal, and data is distributed across nodes using a distributed hash ring. This scalability makes Cassandra suitable for large-scale, high-traffic applications. Cassandra ensures high availability by replicating data across multiple nodes. It uses a tunable consistency model, allowing developers to define the desired level of consistency and availability based on application requirements. Cassandra's design prioritizes high write performance, making it well-suited for write-heavy workloads.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It's distributed model and high write speed make it attractive. It also allows tuning between write and read speed which provides flexibility to the developers. I also like its scalability ability which makes it suitable for large-scale db

What do you dislike most about this product?

Cassandra can't filter data without using key columns which makes it difficult to filter data many times.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would say if you want to go with highly scalable, fault tolerance, and distributed db then Cassandra should be your priority. It is very easy to do linear scaling in Cassandra by adding nodes.
