Users Reveal Top Two GDPR Compliance Vendors of 2020 for Satisfaction Through SoftwareReviews

Smart Global Privacy and Proteus NextGen Data Privacy are named the 2020 GDPR Compliance SoftwareReviews Data Quadrant gold medalists.

TORONTO, Jan. 28, 2020 SoftwareReviews, a division of world-class IT research and consulting firm Info-Tech Research Group, has published its 2020 GDPR Data Quadrant Awards, naming two gold medalists based on excellent user reviews. The following vendors are leaders according to software users’ answers to questions focused on user satisfaction, which have been crafted by seasoned IT industry analysts and backed by 22 years of IT research:

1.      Smart Global Governance (Smart Global Privacy)
2.      Proteus-Cyber (Proteus NextGen Data Privacy)

What makes the SoftwareReviews Data Quadrant different is the inclusion of aggregated emotional response ratings in the areas of service, negotiation, product impact, conflict resolution, and strategy and innovation. These ratings create a powerful indicator of overall user feeling toward the vendor and its product from the software users’ point of view. SoftwareReviews calls this insight the Net Emotional Footprint.

Smart Global Privacy ranked highest among users, earning the number-one spot in 18 out of 22 survey categories. Software users were happiest with Smart Global Privacy’s vendor support, earning it an outstanding score of 92%. Proteus NextGen Data Privacy performed consistently well according to users, taking the number-one spot for ease of customization with a score of 83% and data mapping at 85%.

Cassandra Cooper, senior research analyst at Info-Tech Research Group, explains“GDPR’s launch in 2018 caused a shift in the privacy and compliance software market, resulting in a product offering that needed to meet the requirements of organizations under a deadline to become GDPR compliant. Since then, another shift has occurred. With the recent proliferation of data privacy laws, the privacy and compliance software industry has adapted a proactive approach to data privacy as a strategic enabler, versus a reactive approach to meeting compliance regulations. Major players in the GDPR compliance software industry have begun to introduce features that encourage companies to move beyond a compliance-specific approach, focusing on data protection and security, to help organizations build their own data privacy strategies.”
