Software Reviews names CISCO, Palo Alto Networks and SonicWall, ‘Leaders’ in its Next Generation Firewall solutions Data Quadrant with CISCO and Palo Alto Networks winning Gold Medals

Toronto, ON – November 12, 2018 – Software Reviews, a division of world-class research and advisory firm Info-Tech Research Group Inc., published its Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) Data Quadrant Awards 2018, naming three leaders in the space: CISCO Firewall Series, Palo Alto Networks NGFW and SonicWall.

Software Reviews’ Data Quadrant awards are created entirely from expert-user feedback.  Vendors are evaluated by IT leaders, business professionals and end-users, examining relative performance across two axis: Product Features & Satisfaction and Vendor Experience & Capabilities.  The NGFW category is a sub-category of the IT Risk & Security.  Established through analysis of unbiased and raw data, CISCO, Palo Alto Networks, and SonicWall stand out as market leaders in a highly competitive and mature NGFW market.

Gold Medalists: CISCO Firewall Series and Palo Alto Networks NGFW

The NGFW category’s Gold Medalists exhibit their strength in addressing the overall market need through robust features, business capabilities and strong service components. Through the data collected, each gold medalist displayed exceptional strengths that set them apart from other vendors in the category.  CISCO firewalls and Palo Alto Networks exhibited strong business and service experience placing them at the top right corner of the Data Quadrant.  Palo Alto had leading scores in their overall vendor capabilities.  In addition to the above, CISCO firewalls had a high likeliness to recommend and strong product features among users.
