Software Reviews names Proteus, Informatica, OneTrust, SAS and CipherCloud its GDPR Compliance Data Quadrant Gold Medalists

Toronto, ON – October, 2018 – Software Reviews, a division of world-class research and advisory firm Info-Tech Research Group Inc., published its 2018 GDPR Compliance Data Quadrant Awards, naming five Gold Medalists in the space: Proteus, Informatica, OneTrust, SAS and CipherCloud

Software Reviews’ Data Quadrant awards are created entirely from expert-user feedback. Vendors are evaluated by IT leaders, business professionals and end-users, examining relative performance across two axis: Product Features & Satisfaction and Vendor Experience & Capabilities.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect on the 25th of May this year. The GDPR aims to protect individuals’ personal data and brings with it significant penalties to companies who fail to comply. The GDPR Compliance category at Software Reviews examines vendors who assist their customers across a variety of compliance aspects.

The category featured both well-known vendors and emerging players in an evolving space. The five Gold Medalists are scattered throughout the Leader portion of the quadrant, showing a diverse and unique set of strengths for each of those included.

Proteus and Informatica both scored highly across all four facets of the reporting exemplifying their well-rounded solutions. OneTrust and CipherCloud both displayed strong Vendor Experience & Capability scores, pushing them further to right side of the Data Quadrant. Finally, SAS displayed the strengths of its’ solution through superb Product Features & Satisfaction scoring, moving their offering further up the Y-axis.

About Data Quadrant Awards and Software Reports

Software Reviews Data Quadrant Awards are awarded annually to recognize outstanding vendors in the technology marketplace as evaluated by their users.  Top vendors in a software category are eligible to receive Data Quadrant Gold Medals, provided their scores meet the threshold for sufficiently high user satisfaction across four areas of evaluation: vendor capabilities, product features, likeliness to recommend and vendor experience. Full vendor evaluations are available in our in-depth software evaluation reports.
