What differentiates QuarkXPress from other similar products?
Once Adobe InDesign became available, then bundled with other apps like Photoshop, Quark no longer made sense.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
In its day, QXP was THE powerhouse. So many plugins could be integrated. And we used several. From Elementary to Medical School Textbooks and Encyclopedias. I was a lead graphic artist and created many books with Quark. The control over text and flow was great.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Parent-Child relationship in objects was a major pain. Nested objects were a necessity that was difficult to control and ruined efficiency. Adobe made photos, art, and the page flow with a single platform. Hence, no more Quark.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Compare price and functionality. If you are going to use Photoshop and Illustrator anyway, it doesn’t make sense to use Quark. InDesign is much more robust and fluid.

What differentiates QuarkXPress from other similar products?
Exceptional learning curve that does not require very advanced skills. QuarkXPress has many templates that you can modify to make unique and versatile designs, ideal for those of us who have little knowledge of design software that is often difficult to handle. At the time of purchase your updates are unlimited.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
With QuarkXPress we have improved the speed and elegance in our designs, it is very useful for photo editing and a better alternative for small businesses and companies. We can access and execute our ideas and create visual projects that attract attention. We have also had no problems in handling the software on the website as it does not require coding.
What do you dislike most about this product?
We would be very happy to get a mobile app, either on Android or iOS devices and thus not rely directly on making the designs on the PC, perhaps this may affect in the speed and variety of the designs, but sometimes it can be very necessary to move quickly with the workflow.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
At a low cost that is flexible with the wallet, intuitive, easy to work with and with good technical support to solve any inconvenience that arises QuarkXPress is a design tool, you can follow simple guidelines in the templates that is why we recommend it.

What differentiates QuarkXPress from other similar products?
The most important feature in Quarkxpress is how easy is to learn. This process is very fast and after some weeks is possible use this software at 95% of its possibilities.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Over time I became tired of keeping up with Adobe's endless updates and subscriptions, and the pricetag that came with it. For those who want a one-and-done deal, Quark has always been a great alternative, and nowadays it's become a standard part of my design toolset. The familiarity of Quark is what I like most about it.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Unfortunately there are problems with version 2020 at the moment when starting on os mojave. i get the error message every time: QuarkCEFRenderer was unexpectedly quit. The updater kicking you out of whatever app you are working in. The lack of background outputting/printing. I think that tables could still be improved and setting application default preferences has taken a big step backward for objects and type boxes although I can see why they have done what they have. Just need to be able to set runaround preferences in the default preferences pane.
