What differentiates SteelHead from other similar products?

It does not seems to be good idea to procure a River bed steelhead product after almost all the firewalls have built-in SD-WAN capability.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Earlier we found it to be very good, as it was dedicated device on WAN layer for performance enhancement. Currently we will go with SD_WAN device on anyday.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Now the product is not that much in use, currently we have only one customer which is still using this product. All other have shifted to Firewalls and using SD-WAN.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I will again mention that SD-WAN capable firewall will be a better option.

A bit hard to explain to management when acquiring.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Understand your network topology prior to implementation. Use it on the worst connections (High Latency/Low Bandwidth) first.
