What differentiates Polarion ALM from other similar products?
Workflows with action driven scripts. Uses Postgres and SVN for file and configuration storage. Add flexibility for custom plugins for cronjob, form automation, and workflow trigger.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Writing professional reports or dashboard to qualify requirements using live report and Velocity scripting. Easy to customize form layouts and workflow including enumeration for pick lists.
What do you dislike most about this product?
No license usage tracker. Full re-indexing takes hours to restore the databases. Annoying circular hierarchy detection in logs when items have no compute fields. Major memory hogger where the servers need extreme amount of RAM.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The application is easy to install, configure, and use. Concurrent licensing model has the best pricing compared with other similar applications. Workflow driven script action is a plus, assisting with field validation, auto-assignment, setting field values, notifying respective stakeholders to respond and so on.

What do you dislike most about this product?
The underlaying SVN-Repository and its data structure is still backwards compatible with very old versions
