iSpring Learn LMS Release Focuses on Automation for Admins

iSpring has released an update that includes three major improvements to its Learn LMS platform. These updates are focused on making the role of admin easier and to cut down on the amount of time spent managing content and user lists.

Longreads Content Creation Longreads is iSpring’s new content creation tool. It’s a WYSIWYG platform that makes creating content in the LMS platform easy. Course content can be divided into chapters and authors can add in knowledge check questions at the end of each chapter. Graphics, videos, and text are easily inserted into chapters and courses can edited after publishing. The content automatically adapts to any screen size for ease of use across devices.

Zoom Integration iSpring has partnered with Zoom to enable broadcasting videos and hosting web meetings within the iSpring platform; however, admins will need a paid Zoom account for integration. The benefits include having web meetings work on any device, the ability to add presentations, videos and polls, and collecting stats on audience, including those in attendance and when people join or leave.

Automated Enrollment The automated enrollment builds off of the other new minor features in this release, which include being able to create departments and groups based on corporate structure. This allows admins to create assignments that are assigned based on position, department, or a variety of other filtering options. From the rules that are built, learners will be automatically enrolled in courses once they join a group/department or hit another milestone. For instance, when a new hire starts and their profile is created, they will automatically be assigned to all new hire LMS courses and content.

Our Take

iSpring has no AI features in its latest release, like other LMS platforms. The automated enrollment only works after an admin sets up the organizational structure and selects the relevant content and course flow for each group. It’s unclear how long that initial investment in time would be, although no doubt it would save time in the future. The Longreads Content Creation feature is exciting as not every LMS is able to provide a WYSIWYG platform for content creation.
