Kaspersky Introduces Endpoint Security Cloud in Two Tiers
Kaspersky has revamped its Endpoint Security Cloud to now offer two versions, Cloud and Cloud Plus. Geared towards small and medium-sized enterprises, this two-tiered product enables organizations the flexibility to choose the level of protection that suits their organization’s requirements.
- Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud
The Cloud version includes the classic set of cybersecurity technologies, such as file, web, and mail protection; firewall; network attack blocker; behavior detection; and exploit prevention. Along with web threats, the product now helps to prevent malicious programs from exploiting vulnerabilities in outdated software. This is possible through vulnerability assessment functionality that reviews applications installed on corporate devices and notifies IT administrators about available patches.
Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Plus
Cloud Plus adds web and device controls, as well as patch and encryption management. Patch management functionality allows administrators to automate the delivery of updates for vulnerable applications. Encryption management reinforces protection of sensitive business data, ensuring data stored on remotely encrypted employees’ devices is inaccessible for those without the correct permissions – even if a device is lost or stolen.

Working remotely is increasingly common for workforces, and with that comes a vulnerable attack surface that requires robust endpoint protection to secure data. Each organization has a different risk tolerance level and security and business strategy; therefore, flexible technologies make ideal solutions. In moving its endpoint protection platform toward a more flexible model, Kaspersky is responding to the needs of organizations, which is never a bad idea.
