Zecurion DLP 9 Recommended by SC Magazine

Zecurion has one of the most robust data loss prevention (DLP) products on the market and this fact was recently recognized by SC Magazine, who placed the product in its “pick-of-the-litter" category for DLP.

The feature that sets Zecurion DLP 9 apart from the crowd is its in-depth monitoring and detection capabilities, which help to boost data security and identify data transmission infractions and fraud.

Like many DLP products, Zecurion can be customized based on rules that are appropriate for your organization’s data handling processes. Unlike other DLP solutions, Zecurion also provides data discovery and classification options that help you manage and understand the data you are trying to protect.

Our Take

Zecurion is about as close as you can get to a DLP product whose successful deployment does not hinge on a preceding data classification initiative. To be clear, it’s not that the product is magically configured to your needs, but rather that it provides some support for completing data classification within a condensed timeline.

Info-Tech still recommends a separate data classification effort that combines automated and manual discovery processes. However, Zecurion provides solid value in that it acts as both a DLP and data discovery/classification tool. Organizations starting out on their data classification journey, or those with a relatively simple data environment, should consider implementing Zecurion’s solution.
