Panda AntiVirus Pro is a feature rich application that gives you a wide range of tools to protect you against viruses, worms, rootkits, malware, spyware and anti-phishing web protection in one sleek package.

For the amount of features Panda offers, it is an exceptional choice for online protection. You get an anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware, anti-rootkit, anti-phishing, firewall and identity protection in one application. It is also compatible with most browsers and IM services making it an extremely versatile program no matter what PC environment you are used to. Although it is priced a bit higher than competitors, you are getting much more than just an anti-virus scanner.

Updates are scheduled by Panda, but there aren’t advanced options that allow you to preset when the updates are made. Not a big deal in the overall scheme, but it would be a nice addition.

There’s not much to say about Panda AntiVirus other than it gives you basically everything you need in one package. The customization is limited, but effective. The anti-spyware and anti-malware system is exceptional. This program is worth it if you are an avid internet user, especially if you are into games, online poker, or just sites that produce lots of junk ads or freeware sites that bundle malicious helper applications with your downloads. You can definitely get away with buying Panda AntiVirus Pro instead of a full Internet Security Suite since it gives you nearly all the same stuff. The actual virus scanning is mid-grade, but it’s the proactive approach that makes this great for internet users on a newer machine. If you have an older system and/or if you have lots of viruses or bugs I would not recommend this as a cleaner, but more for a prevention tool.
