Read more>> The first thing we noticed right off the bat was that this file size was very large and takes up over 160 MB’s of hard disk space. After nearly one hour of installing and setting this up, it turned out to be a very comprehensive Internet Security package that includes anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall, and anti-spam components that help improve performance while blocking attacks from intruders. Also, with the five-user license this is a great purchase for a small business network or families with multiple computers in the home. One interesting feature of this new software is the WiFi Hot Spot Detection which alerts you when you enter a new network outside of your established home network. This is very nice if you are using a wireless connection and want to monitor where your Internet connection is coming from. Like the other suites, CA Internet Security Suite Plus 2009 provides up-to-the-minute Internet threat information and automatic updates and will alert you when new features are available. We found that this is standard with most of the security suites, since the software by its nature has to constantly update to keep up with all the new threats on the Internet. We liked the many features and the fact that one license works on up to five computers. Another great thing about this software was the in-product tutorial which should be extremely helpful to the novice PC user. The cons are that this file size is huge and can slow down your system. The average user may not need everything that this comes with and should opt for a lighter and more streamlined suite for a lot less in price. But if you are looking for an over-the-top program with a personal firewall and parental control, this is your ticket.
