What differentiates IBM Storage Protect from other similar products?

What do you dislike most about this product?

I believe the most pressing issue is the lack of compatibility between various IBM products, such as tdp and gskit, as well as issues with snapshot manager and other products like SVC. Implementation and configuration should only be attempted by those who are intimately familiar with the product, and even then, it may be difficult to uncover all of the available options.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Although the product is very stable, it works better if it is maintained on a daily basis, like most things, like most things. If you worked with TSM(Tivoli Storage Manager) you would like this more than I do...as not very CLI savvy, I've found this difficult to administer/implement
